The Mississippi School Boards Association is pleased to share that registration is now open for the 2025 Southern Region Leadership Conference (SRLC), hosted by the Louisiana School Boards Association (LSBA). As a proud member of the Southern Region alongside Louisiana and Arkansas, MSBA encourages board members and district leaders to take advantage of this opportunity to engage, learn, and lead.
This year’s conference will take place July 28–30, 2025, at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Participants can expect a dynamic lineup of general and breakout sessions focused on today’s most pressing education issues. Topics include Artificial Intelligence, teacher recruitment and retention, English Language Learner strategies, ESSA accountability updates, and more. The conference will open with keynote speaker Mark C. Perna, a national expert in workforce development and intergenerational communication.
Attendees may also choose one of two Early Bird sessions scheduled for Monday afternoon:

- To Be a Student in Today’s World… An Inside Look at Life in a Social Media World

- Registration Deadline: Friday, July 11, 2025
- Capacity is limited — Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- No on-site registration will be available.
- Written cancellations received by May 23 will receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued after May 23.
- Registrations are transferrable (in place of cancellations) until July 11.

This reservation link will be provided once you have registered for the conference and Early Bird session. Complimentary parking is available in the parking garage for guests staying at the hotel.
