The Council of School Board Attorneys' (CSBA) Annual Seminar on School Law will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Participants will be able to attend virtually or in-person at the MSBA Building in Ridgeland, MS.

The CSBA Annual Seminar has been a regular annual event for many of the state’s school board attorneys. It is essential to stay on top of issues that could potentially pose threats to your school district client, which is one of the reasons why the CSBA Seminar on School Law is the “go-to” resource for staying up-to-date on school legal matters.

This year, topics will include:

  • Legal Updates on Recent Court Cases
  • Audit Compliance Issues
  • Policy & Legislative Updates
  • COSA/NSBA Update
  • 16th Section Land Issues
  • Title IX
  • Mississippi Ethics Laws
  • Hottest Legal Issues Facing School Districts

Attorneys can earn up to six (6) hours credit and one (1) hour of Ethics by remaining until the seminar adjourns.

Board Members can earn up to seven (7) hours of credit (4 hours for attending the morning session and/or 3 hours for attending the afternoon session).

$180 per person

Virtual: Attendees will be emailed instructions to participate virtually via Zoom prior to the seminar.

In-Person: MSBA, 380 Zurich Dr., Ridgeland, MS 39157

Cancellations must be made by May 4th, or your district will be billed the full registration fee.

CSBA Annual Seminar on School Law

Each year MSBA's Council of School Board Attorneys (CSBA) hold a one-day seminar to update school board attorneys on the legal ramifications of various court rulings and legislation affecting school districts.  Attendance does meet the standards for CLE credits for attorneys.
